Christy has over 20 years’ experience in teaching figure skaters and hockey players the fundamentals. As the Director of the Learn to Skate Program and a senior skating coach she has helped many young skaters gain a solid foundation of the sport that carried them through their skating careers. As a Power Skating and Skills Coach for hockey and a Figure Skater she has the benefit of combining the best of both worlds to give each skater the tools needed as they progress.
Christy teaches in a fun, relaxed manner which creates a true progression-based program enabling improved skating skills. She can adjust her teaching to all age and skill levels of the students.
A good coach improves your game. A great coach improves your life. - Michael Josephson
Those are words to live by it is not enough to simply teach. Coaches touch our lives, they motivate, inspire, and share their passion. Our goal is to coach so that students are engaged to foster skill development.
Christy is thrilled to be heading up the Skating Academy and LTS Program at Middletown Sports Complex and looks forward to meeting the next group session of students!
